Research interests

– the Polish language in Ukraine: the language of people of Polish descent (grammar, pragmatics), Polish language press in modern day Ukraine (normative aspects of language),
– comparative grammar of Polish and Ukrainian,
– the semantics of Polish phraseology, comparison of Polish and Ukrainian phraseology,
– language pedagogy (teaching Polish to Ukrainian language students).

Research and research-didactic achievements in the area of Polish Studies: – author and co-author of 98 research papers, – author of more than 30 encyclopedia entries, – author and co-author of 12 textbooks and other didactic materials for learning and teaching Polish as a foreign language, – redactor and co-redactor of 13 monographs and research-didactic works, – supervisor of 8 doctoral PhD theses (2006–2019), – since 1996 participant in international conferences and seminars in Ukraine and Poland, as well as other countries, – participant in World Congresses of Polonists (Poznań 2006, Kraków 2008, Opole 2012, Katowice 2016, Wrocław 2021), – member of advisory boards of publishing series in Poland (10) and in Ukraine (2) – 2008–2009 co-organizer of the first Ukrainian edition of the Postgradual Qualification Program of Teaching Polish Culture and Polish as a Foreign Language (co-organized by the School of Polish Language and Culture of the University of Silesia), – since 2007 co-organizer of various international conferences taking place in the Department of Polish Philology of the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv, including four international conferences celebrating anniversaries of Polish Studies in the University of Lviv (2014, 2016, 2017, 2019), – since 1997 academic internships at various universities in Poland, – since 2015 guest lectures at various universities in Poland.
