In 1996, he graduated from the Faculty of Philology of the Ivan Franko University of Lviv, majoring in “philologist, teacher of Ukrainian language and literature”. In 2000, he defended his PhD thesis on the topic “Poetics of the Galician-Volyn Chronicle”. The academic title of associate professor was awarded on April 19, 2007. Member of the editorial board of publications of the scientific project “Mediaevistica Leopoliensis” and “Records of the Scientific Society named after T. Shevchenko” (Philological section). Since February 2015, he has been the chairman of the Literary Commission of the Scientific Society named after T. Shevchenko.

1996 – laureate of the international competition of the best works of young Ukrainian writers “Hranoslov”;

1996 – laureate of the “Smoloskyp” publishing house literary competition;

2008 – awarded with a diploma of the Supreme Archbishop of Kyiv-Halytskyi Lubomyr (Huzar);

2013 – awarded with a certificate of the Department of Education and Science of the Lviv Regional State Administration;

2022 – Laureate of the Rector’s Award of UCU named after Professor Ihor Skochylias for scientific achievements.
