Olha Chaplia earned her MA in Philology from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv in 2018, where she also began her doctoral studies, working on the dissertation titled Poetics and Rhetoric of Metropolitan Ilarion’s Sermon on Law and Grace under the supervision of Prof. Nazar Fedorak. In 2021, she completed a master’s degree in Theology at the Ukrainian Catholic University.

From June to October 2023, Olha participated in the Mentorship Program co-organized by Dumbarton Oaks (Harvard University), North of Byzantium, and Connected Central European Worlds, 1500–1700. She served as a Visiting Graduate Researcher at the Centre for Global Studies, University of Victoria (May 2023 – May 2024), and later as a Graduate Student Fellow at the Centre for Studies in Religion and Society at the same institution (September – December 2024). In 2025, she is an International Visiting Graduate Student with the Petro Jacyk Program for the Study of Ukraine at the University of Toronto (January – April 2025). the University of Alberta (Edmonton, 8–10 May 2025).
