Source Studies practice of polonists

From January 19 to February 6, as a part of their Source Studies practice, first-year students of the department of Polish Philology listened to a course of lectures about the history of Lviv during XVIII–XX c. as well as the history and culture of Poland. The invited guests, Associate Professor Kozytskyi A.M (Ivan Franko National University of Lviv) and candidate of Philological Sciences Kovalevskyi Ye., delivered the lectures online. They successfully demonstrated the future polonists Lviv’s multicultureness, and how interesting, complicated, and complex was the history of the lands of Western Ukraine.

Students found out more about the most important events of the Polish history as well as symbols and figures that are remarkable for Polish culture. They were also able to watch excerpts from movies that are considered as the classics of Polish cinematography and listen to the most famous music hits of different time periods.
